Welcome to MY LITTLE CORNER OF
THE VIOLIN WORLD.
My devotion to the violin family of instruments stems from a childhood passion for the arts, science, and history--lutherie exists at the crossroads of all three.
I built my first violins in 2012, and though they were not yet good, the joy it brought inspired me to take lutherie more seriously. Following my wife's double lung transplant in 2016, I quit my day-job and began pursuing violinmaking full-time, and in the few short years since, I've honed my "minutiae makes marvelous" approach to violinmaking, which holds its roots in the Cremonese school of violinmaking, but whose branches stretch toward the modern age.
I'm a one-man operation--and time is a finite resource--so I'm unable take on too many commissions at once: but I'm always happy to offer worldwide, ship-to-door sales and service whenever possible; and happy, still, to steer you towards a reputable luthier in your area if and when my plate is too full. You and your instrument deserve what's best, and I'll do everything in my power to deliver on that--even if it means occasionally turning work away.
I do not have a physical storefront, and for the duration of the pandemic, I will not be doing client-meetings in my workshop or on-site, but I'm always eager to chat via email, Zoom, or at a respectable distance in an outdoor space to discuss your unique needs as an artist.
